Post arrival, hospital registration is mandatory, you are requested to do your Police Information Registration at Ashram office (within 24 hours of your arrival at our hospital). We require Passport copy to process registration.
You can pay all your billing amount at the time of admission at Ayurveda Reception desk. We receive INR, USD, EURO for Panchakarma and INR for Ayurvedic medicines. You can also pay by Credit / Debit Card ( 3% tax-Bank charges as extra ).
TREATMENT / ITINERARY CHANGES
We have the right to make amendments to PANCHAKARMA, due to unforeseen developments such as adverse climatic and health conditions etc. In such cases, cost will be recalculated & if any SUPPLEMENT occurred, that is payable by client. In such situation we have the rights to amend any aspect of the services, it would be non-cancellable & the guest(s) shall have to continue with the program as amended.

WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT MODALITIES ADOPTED IN YOUR HOSPITAL?
Here we are doing traditional Ayurvedic practice and detoxification – purification therapy like Panchakarma, which includes various types of purification therapies. These therapies are done with-in depth understanding of Tridoshic and Pancha-Maha-Bhutha theory, those are the base of Ayurveda.

Yes we provide internet facility to our patient, kindly not due to mountain area internet may slow down or may not work.
IS THERE POWER CUT IN THE HOSPITAL
Since Hospital is situated in mountain range hence power cut it very common, however we have installed inverter (without geyser connection), in our Panchakarma department, Trishul and Nanda House rooms. We have generator facility for hospital as per office hours.
CLOTHS WASHING FACILITY
Local laundry facility is available on charge basis, hospital nothing to do with this.
HOW MANY DAYS A PATIENT CAN STAY FOR PANCHAKARMA?
Based on the clinical picture of the patient he or she may be advised to stay 3-7-14-21-28-45-60 days for panchakarma. Sometimes patient may advise to stay for more days its subject to clinical examination by doctors.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAKING MEDICINES AT HOME AND GETTING ADMITTED IN HOSPITAL?
While you are coming to OPD unit you will get small time to interact with doctor. Most of the disease are solved with OP treatment. Chronic disease needs IP treatment such as Panchakarma by staying. Sometimes we have to do trial and error method by changing the medicines based on the clinical conditions which are called Avastha for which the patient should be admitted. Physician should observe and use the medicines frequently. Only by admission this is possible. Moreover detoxification is possible only in inpatient unit which needs meticulous treatment plan and physician’s care. The doctor/panel of doctors will be alongside the patient in the hospital. This is the significance of inpatient treatment over the OP treatment.
WHAT ALL STUFF PATIENTS SHOULD BRING TO THE HOSPITAL?
Torch light, spoon, bath towels*, toilet paper, soap toiletries*, book for reading, laptop, all your medical report, glucometer-if you use is frequently and personal medicines.
* can be purchased locally from hospital / market.
HOW MANY PERSONS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY ALONG WITH PATIENT?
As per room condition, an attendant can stay along with patient. The attendant has to pay for accommodation and food cost as per consumption. Prior permission is require from doctor/ hospital.
HOW MANY TIMES A PATIENT CAN MEET WITH DOCTOR?
During Panchakarma treatment you will be monitored by doctors on regular internal, doctor will also give time for consultation. In case of emergency you may contact doctor. Doctor will be available during office hours except hospital holidays.
DO YOU HAVE EMERGENCY UNIT? (OR HOSPITAL NEAR BY OTHER THAN PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT CENTER?
There is a Govt hospital and few private hospital in Ranikhet which is 6 kms away from our Panchakarma center. In case of treatment in that hospital patient should borne those expanses oneself.
IS THERE AYURVEDIC TREATMENT INDICATED DURING MENSTRUAL CYCLE?
NO, As menstruation itself is considered as purification, so oil based body treatments, major Panchakarma procedures are not done during this time. Sometime doctor advice to take rest without taking any treatments or as per patient condition doctor may refer small treatment.
WHAT ALL COST ARE NOT INCLUDED IN PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT PACKAGE ?
Panchakarma package cost is only included Panchakarma treatment procedures prescribed by doctor and Food (served only in Ayurvedic canteen).
Apart from this nothing is included in package. Doctor may prescribed Ayurvedic herbal medicine, lab investigation, scanning, pathological test, travel expenses, specialist consultation fee, buying material from Ayurveda center or from outside market.
WHAT YOU SHOULD WEAR DURING PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT?
Loose-fitting cloth is advisable, during your stay you can use casual wears, pyjamas, sarees, Indian costume. Its advisable to carry warm cloth as temperate go down quite often. Its advisable kindly check temperate before coming to Panchakarma Centre.
HOW MANY TREATMENT PROCEDURE A PERSON CAN TAKE PER DAY?
Except first day of starting of your Panchakarma, we are giving maximum two treatment procedures per day to patients. More than two treatment per day is harful and may increase your medical problem. We are requesting our patients not to insist for more procedures per day. If anyone is ask for more treatment per day it will be patient’s own risk, Centre will not be responsible for any medical problem.
WHAT ALL ARE DO’S AND DON’T DURING PANCHAKARMA?
You should avoid spicy and oily food. Sleeping is prohibited during day time. Walking in the sunlight is prohibited. 20 minutes light walking is advised in morning and evening. Drinking alcohol, smoking is totally prohibited. Over usage of cell phone, computer-laptop, gadgets and seeing TV is not good. A sexual activity is prohibited during treatment period. Advised and start believing that to early going to bed and early waking up.
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD WE CAN GET IN THE HOSPITAL?
In our Ayurvedic canteen we prepare Satvik, Tridosha balancing food for our patients. We advise and serving less spicy, less oily, vegetarian diet, locally available fresh vegetable salads, fruits to take during Panchakarma treatment period. We serve food as breakfast-lunch-dinner in our Ayurvedic Canteen-fixed food menu. Food is purlye based in Indian style cooking and purely herbal/ayurvedic/organic.
HOW IS AYURVEDA RELATED TO YOGA?
Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences and work harmoniously together to deliver sound body, pure mind and fress spirit. India, there is a long standing tradition of practicing both Yoga and Ayurveda together, for maximum enhanced and positive results. Here we are advising our patients for simple yoga practice under guidance of our Yoga Teach and also to avoid self-practicing. During intense cleaning Panchakarma procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Vasti, etc. we are not advice to do Yoga.
CAN AYURVEDA CURE ALL THE DISEASES?
No system of medicine will able to cure all the diseases. Some of the diseases are only manageable. Some diseases need life time treatment; some diseases can’t be cured y any medicines. Some diseases are better treated by modern medicine only. In certain conditions modern medicine is better than Ayurveda. This truth will be revealed after individual case examination.
CAN I TAKE MODERN MEDICINES ALONG WITH AYURVEDA?
Yes, Diabetic medicine, hypertensive medicine, epilepsy medicine, TB medicine should never be stopped at any cost. It may produce harm to your body. Regarding other medicines doctor will examine and give his opinion. If there is no durg interaction, the medicines can be taken. This will be explained to you by our doctor.
WHAT IS MEANT BY PATHYA? PEOPLE SAY AYURVEDA HAS SEVERE PATHYA?
Pathya has Hitam (Beneficial) – the food that is good for the person. Which controls the disease and improves the health is called Pathya. The concept of Pathya exists in every system of medicine.
- Diabetic patients : sweets are prohibited.
- Thyroid patients should not take cabbage.
- People suffering from kidney, renal disease should control the salt.
These are the Pathyam told in modern medicine, likewise, in Tridoshik diseases we are advising a less spicy, less oily, vegetarian diet, as such food increases auto immunity.
CAN WE GET NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD IN AYURVEDIC CANTEEN?
No. We are not serving non-veg food, even eggs are not available. Vegetarianism has got lot of good qualities that’s a reason we serve veg foods only during Panchakarma. Since Non-Veg increases Pitta in body hence Non-veg is strictly banned in hospital campus and even in living rooms/area you can’t eat non-veg.
DOES PRAYER, MEDITATION IS ALLOWED IN CAMPUS ROOMS?
You can always pray based upon your own religious tradition inside your living room. You should not hurt/disturb others/neighbors. You should not compel others with your spiritual ideas. We are spiritual people and always believe in prayers and meditation.
WILL I GET A DISCHARGE SUMMARY?
Post completion of your Panchakarma treatment, you will get your discharge card signed by doctor with simple food guidelines.
DOES AYURVEDA COMES UNDER INSURNACE COVER?
On very first day at the time of admission, before commencement of Panchakarma, kindly declare your policy details at reception our staff will help you in this regard.
We are not taking any responsibility to settle your insurance claim. Hospital doesn’t accept any money from insurance company. We give you supportive documents e.g. payment receipt, discharge summary/card.
It is always advisable to check your insurance covered with your insurance company regarding Ayurveda/Panchakarma treatment.
OTHER IMPORTANT GUIDELINES
- Who all are coming from outside or having serious health issues (not able to walk, need support while using washroom, etc) are requested to bring an escort/bystander/assistant, then only hospital will be able to take responsibility of treatment.
- In order to obtain optimal benefit of treatment, request you to not to counteract the effort of therapies, patient are advised to follow supportive life style and behavioral practices. This is always a good opportunity to overcome physical, mental and emotional roadblocks. Conserve energy (i.e. reduce reading, writing, speaking, refrain from sexual activities, if you want its recommended go for short distance walk, very less use of TV and computer) during Panchakarma treatment, so this can be channeled to optimize and accelerate the healing process.
- Attend all-natural urges without delay. These including yawning, burping, passing flatulence, drinking, cycling and evacuating bowls and bladder.
- Minimize your exposure to extreme heat, cold, sun and wind.
- Avoid sleeping during day time.
